How much and how often to water roses?

For newly plants, usually deep water for first time.

  1. Deep Watering:

    • Water deeply to encourage roots to grow downward. Shallow watering can lead to weak root systems.
  2. Time of Day:

    • Water in the early morning to allow foliage to dry, reducing the risk of fungal diseases.
  3. Avoid Overhead Watering:

    • Use soaker hoses or water at the base to keep leaves dry and healthy.
  4. Check the Soil:

    • Before watering, check soil moisture 2–3 inches below the surface. If it feels dry, it’s time to water.
